• Resume content — Job titles, experience descriptions, skills, and other professional information you paste or type into our forms.
• Country and destination selection — The immigration destination country you select for optimization.
• Payment information — Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, expiration dates, or CVV codes on our servers. Stripe retains payment records under their own privacy policy.
• Usage data — Pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, and IP address for security and analytics purposes.
• Email address — If you provide your email address to receive your optimized resume by email (Premium feature, unlocked after $9.99 payment).

We do not collect government identification numbers, passport details, or immigration case information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To generate and display your AI-optimized resume content in real time.
• To process payments through Stripe for paid plan access.
• To improve our AI optimization algorithms and service quality.
• To send your optimized resume to your email address, if you request this feature.
• To monitor and protect the security and integrity of our platform.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your resume content for targeted advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your information:

• Processing — Resume content is processed in real time. We do not permanently store the full text of your resume unless you use the "Save Resume" feature.
• Encryption — All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL (HTTPS).
• Infrastructure — Our database is hosted on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure with access controls and monitoring.
• Retention — We retain submission records (job title, country, classification code matched) for service improvement. Full resume content is not retained beyond your session unless saved.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights

You have meaningful control over your data:

• Delete your data — Use the "Delete my data" button on the /start page, or email privacy@visaresume.com to request deletion of your records.
• GDPR (EU/EEA residents) — You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. You may also object to processing and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
• CCPA (California residents) — You have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell personal data).
• Data access requests — To submit a data access or deletion request, email privacy@visaresume.com with the subject "Data Request." We will respond within 30 days.

6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to deliver our product. Each third-party service has its own privacy policy:

• OpenAI — We send your resume content to OpenAI's API for AI-powered rewriting. OpenAI processes this data under their Privacy Policy. Data submitted via the API is not used to train OpenAI's models by default.
• Stripe — Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Your payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We receive only a transaction confirmation and anonymized payment metadata.

7. Cookies

We use only essential, functional cookies:

• Session cookies — Used to maintain your login state and access level during a browsing session. These expire when you close your browser.
• No advertising cookies — We do not use cookies for retargeting, behavioral advertising, or tracking across other websites.
• No third-party analytics cookies — We use privacy-respecting analytics without persistent cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy
